RSSTweeting with Alfred, made simple.
Many users don’t like have to mess around with the command line. They just aren’t comfortable with it. Others just don’t like having to install Xcode to get console_tweet to work with Alfred. While console_tweet is a nice utility, it just needs to be a bit simpler to setup.
Andrew (@preppeller/@alfredapp) and I were chatting last night and, I believe he was challenging me, but I was basically told to suck it up and just go ahead and make a Twitter extension for Alfred. Something about, I would be “teh l33t”? Anyway, so this is early stages of the extension, I just wanted to put up a bit of a teaser video for it. If you have any ideas for additional things that might be added to the extension (other than just tweeting.. maybe DM?) let me know. I’ll try to work out what I can, as long as it won’t be some long, awkward way of making it work for the user.
Its a simple setup.. Give the extension the command to ‘setup’. Authenticate to twitter, copy the pin code, give it back to the extension for authentication purposes, and you’re set.
