Scraping the Web with @Alfredapp, continued.
I’ve been kinda “poling the audience” looking for ideas for data that I may could scrape from the net and return to Alfred/Growl. Kris Lander, one of my awesome GtWthr users, threw out the idea of tracking packages. I came up with the idea early on of being able to track packages using a custom search with Alfred. The custom search was done using the site packagetrackr.com. Well, now, with Alfred scripts, you’ll be able to scrape the site data and display in Growl. No more having to go to the site.
Thoughts? Like/dislike? Other ideas? Let me know @jdfwarrior
Another user has thrown out the idea of a lipsum text script that would grab it from one of the popular sites and copy it back to the clipboard. Sounds like a great idea, i’ll be right on that next.
